Davonia Taylor, MSN, CRNP, DNP

Dr. Taylor is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has both a Masters of Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She is licensed with the Alabama Board of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received both her degrees and extensive training from Vanderbilt University. She is also a graduate of Oakwood University with a degree in Music Education. She has served the Huntsville Community as an Educator at the secondary and tertiary levels and is currently working to shape the next generation of compassionate professional nurses and healthcare practitioners. It is her passion to promote healing and the total well-being of each of her patients with grace and dignity.

Joanne Palmer, ADC, LSW, MS

Joanne Palmer holds a Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and a license in Social Work. She has worked in the mental health field for over 35 years, where her focus has been with families whose lives have been ravaged by abuse, neglect, violence, addiction, and broken relationships. Her experience working with the foster care system, adoption platforms, parenting programs, schools, and behavioral counseling agencies, has led her to see the need for emotional healing work. She’s now fully invested in closing the gap between our heads (what we think is true) and our hearts (how we experience those truths).

Darcel Forde, BSW, MS, CDC

Darcel Forde also known as Darci is a certified birth and postpartum doula, ready to help and serve women and their families through the process of birth. She holds a Master’s in Management and a Bachelor’s in Social Work. While Darci had prepared through her entire pregnancy, she found herself in need of a lot of support during this scary time and tremendously appreciated the support of her family and friends around the birth of her children. The saying “it takes a village” never felt truer and it was this experience that opened her up to the world of Birthwork. Darci’s passion is helping families as a whole, by offering childbirth education in pregnancy, providing labor support during birth, and supplying postpartum doula support during the fourth trimester. Her ultimate satisfaction as a doula comes from cultivating strong teamwork between moms and partners throughout the labor and birth process, with the goal of helping families thrive as they embrace their new roles as parents.

Curtis Eakins, N.D

Curtis holds credentials as a medical herbalist and naturopath from Trinity College of Natural Health. With a passion for empowering individuals to reclaim their health naturally, Curtis has authored the book “Cancer, Complementary and Alternative Medicine,” offering insights into innovative approaches to wellness. Prior to his writing career, Curtis honed his expertise during a nine-year tenure at Huntsville Hospital, where he specialized in digestive health and served as a valuable surgeon’s assistant in neurosurgery. His diverse background and unwavering dedication to holistic healing exemplify his commitment to promoting well-being on every level.

Paula Eakins, M.Sc

Paula Eakins earned her Bachelor’s degree in Foods & Nutrition from San Francisco State University, where her passion for healthy living ignited. With a wealth of experience, she spent six impactful years teaching at Oakwood University, specializing in diabetes management and prevention. Beyond the classroom, Paula is a plant-based culinary instructor, food stylist, and accomplished cookbook author. Her works, include “Revise Vegetarian Cooking” and “Global Vegetarian Cooking made EZ,” inspiring individuals to embrace vibrant, nourishing cuisine for a healthier, more vibrant life.
